Carnival Cruise Line’s 128-foot blimp made its aerial debut on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, in Memphis, Tenn. It will float around the Houston and Galveston areas from Sept. 7, 2018, through Sept. 9, 2018, as part of the blimp’s 30-day journey across the U.S.
David Ellis, a follower of Hunt County News, said: “I have never seen a blimp before.” The lighter than air flying machine stayed overnight at the Sulphur Springs airport according to resident Nathan Bailey. The aircraft made better time to Caddo Mills from Greenville than one chaser could after waiting out traffic lights on Wesley and fighting traffic on Interstate 30 to the Pilot Travel Center.
The blimp will fly over Dallas and Ft. Worth during the holiday weekend before working its way south to Houston for the weekend of September 7th.
