Thomas James Green, 71, of Quinlan went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Dallas. A Celebration of Thomas’ Life will be held under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday August 22, 2015 at the Home of Terry Green, 1979 Underwood in Quinlan.
Thomas was born on July 28, 1944 in Dallas. He is the son of the late Leon and Carol Green. He was raised and educated in Dallas. He attended Midwestern State University where he played basketball and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Carol Jean, Mary Ann Johnston, Tracy Green; brother Paul Green; nephews Michael Paul Quinlan, Colton Whaley, niece Bailey Miskell and his biggest friend “Brutus” his faithful dog.  Thomas loved to play Bingo, car racing and followed all sports, especially the Cowboys and Mavericks. He could create western art and furniture out of almost anything and he was also gifted writer.  He had a love for dogs and brought home many strays. His family was one of the most important things to him.
He is loved and will be missed by his wife Shirley Green; children Tammy Gandy, Wendy Und, Tommy Green and his wife Kellie; grandchildren Robin and husband Jerry, Sabrina and husband Brandon; Matthew, Thomas, Katherine, Jaeden; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Ethan; siblings Leon Green, John Green, Clayton Green and wife Virginia, Charles Green and wife June, Sherry Green, Terry Green and wife Cleta, Donna Dell and husband Russell, Delores Green and husband Kevin, Dorothy Green, Stevie Green; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
