EXOS Aerospace Systems and Technologies, Inc. (EAST) headquartered at the Caddo Mills Airport was launched last February with the acquisition of Armadillo Aerospace Systems. EAST supports military, Department of Defense and project research by major universities throughout the world. The EAST Team has developed and tested over a hundred different rocket engines and aerospace vehicles. This has led to some very impressive design applications for commercial rockets in the world today.
EXOS has designed and integrated a recoverable payload system that often allows the payload to be recovered within a few hundred yards of launch. Rockets are fabricated at the Caddo Mills facility but are launched from Spaceport America near the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
Phil Eaton, the Caddo Mills facility manager, tells the Hunt County News “that our team can help navigate through the myriad requirements of Federal, State and Local requirements so that you can get your research project funded earlier whether you wish to take a research package to the edge of space or perhaps scatter the ashes of a loved one into space
