Machines and jack hammers start chipping away at the old curbing and driveway entrances on Stonewall Street. Material has been delivered to put in new storm and sanitary sewer. Cast iron water pipes will be replaced along the right of way as well. Several hackberry trees and one pecan tree has been marked for removal.
Traffic is one way in a northbound direction from Sanford to Park Street. Southbound traffic must turn east or west on Park Street to continue the journey. Drivers will have to go to Sanford then turn back north onto Stonewall in order to arrive at a residence in the 2,100 feet of street being reconstructed.
