Raymond Charlie McKinney, Jr., 71 of Greenville, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at his residence. Graveside service will be at Memoryland Memorial Park on Thursday, at 10 A.M. with Mr. Randy Tarpley officiating.
Mr. McKinney was born on September 22, 1943 in Phillips-Goode Hospital in Greenville, TX to Raymond Charlie McKinney, Sr. and Georgia Faye Hart McKinney. He retired after 3 years as a vice president of Eagle Project Management, Inc. in 2003. He also worked 14 years at Electronic Data Services as Construction Project Manager and 13 years at Pratt-Box-Henderson and Associates. Mr. McKinney was actively involved in the IOOF Frede Ende Lodge, member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church, an active member of Park Street Historical Association, was a member of the City of Greenville Planning and Zoning Commission, member of City of Greenville’s Substandard Structures and Rehabilitation Board, and served on the City of Greenville’s Residential Inspection Program Taskforce. He was a graduate of Greenville High School Class of 1961.
He is survived by his son, Ashley Daniel Ross McKinney and wife, Christy of Durham, North Carolina, daughter, Dawn Charee McKinney Botefuhr and husband, Charles of Plano, TX, Marie McKinney, sister, Lucia McKinney Hilderbrand and husband, Joe of Henderson, TX, Gaby McGary, grandchildren, Abigail Dawn McKinney, Olivia Jane McKinney and Matthew Daniel McKinney.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the IOOF Fred Ende Lodge 87.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Walter and Lucia McKinney.
