The Park Street Historical Association will host the 26th Annual Park Street Parade. Long time promoters and supporters of the Park Street Neighborhood, Ray and Andrew Howell, will be the Grand Marshalls. The Greenville Police Department Honor Guard will carry the national colors as they lead the parade.
Bands, color guards, the Daughters of the American Revolution, various military fraternal organizations, and (yes) clowns and magicians will mix with the Jeeps, antique automobiles, motorcycles, trucks and fire fighting equipment in the parade.
The parade will keep to the same route as in years past but the staging areas for motorized vehicles will be at the Family Fellowship Church parking lot on Division Street. Staging begins at nine A.M. and the parade at ten A.M.
Spectators will look for shade in the blazing sun. They are urged to not park on the street during the 4th so that children will not dart out between cars. By all means, bring lawn chairs and water and enjoy and old-fashioned red, white and blue parade.
