James “Danny” Shoemake 65 of West Tawakoni went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, August 12, 2016 in Rowlett. Funeral services celebrating Danny’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home with Brother Roger Dawson officiating, burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Warren, Tim Harvey, Vince Campanella, Robert Campanella, Jerry Guardiola, Saul Monsisuais and Dennis Warncke; Honorary Pallbearers will be Colbey Graham, Casey Ritter and Terry Darst.
Danny was born November 30, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. He is the son Of Dorothy Nan Barnes Shoemake and the late Melton Thomas Shoemake. He was raised and educated in Dallas before moving to the Lake Tawakoni community in his junior year. He graduated from Ford High School. He married the love of his life Tomi Warren on May 27, 1972 and they continued to make their home in West Tawakoni. Danny worked his whole life in retail sales, the last 10 years with Home Depot in Greenville. He enjoyed bass fishing and playing slot machines, but his favorite time was spent being with his family.
His is loved and will be missed by his wife of 44 years, Tomi of West Tawakoni. Mother, Dorothy Shoemake of Quinlan. Sons, James Daniel Shoemake & wife Amy of Quinlan and Alan Shoemake of West Tawakoni. Grandchildren, Lane Cannon, Zackery Shoemake and Kylie Shoemake. Brothers, Tommy Shoemake & wife Claudia of Flower Mound, Michael Shoemake & wife Glenda of Heath and Larry Shoemake & wife Fawn of Arlington. Also by several nieces and nephews.
