Imogene “Jean” Ensley, 85, of Lone Oak went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Farmers Branch. Graveside services under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Hooker Cemetery with Paige Patterson officiating.
Mrs. Ensley was born January 8, 1930 in Lone Oak, Texas. She is the daughter of the late Sam Mercer and Georgie Pope Mercer. She was raised near Lone Oak and graduated Point High School in 1947. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. She moved to Dallas where she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She retired in 1992 after 42 years of service. After she retired she returned to Lone Oak. Jean enjoyed playing slot machines, laughing and cutting-up, and working in her gardens. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan.
She is loved and will be missed by her sons Dennis Ensley of Farmers Branch, Kevin Ensley of Ft Worth; grandson Caleb Ensley of Ft. Worth; granddaughters Rebekah Ensley of Ft. Worth, Victoria Ensley of Farmers Branch; brother Bill Mercer of Lone Oak; special niece Wanda Herron of Arlington; special nephew Charles Marney of Emory and Jerry Marney of Emory and special friend Bill McGriff of Mabank.
