As students around the region head back to school today, the weather is cooperating for their recess! Summer temperatures may still be around, but Fall is just a few weeks away. The region got a nice glimpse of it last week, with temperatures staying in the mid to high 70s on Thursday.
This week may not be as nice, temperature-wise, but it still should be a great week for outdoor activities with the temperatures staying in the mid to low 90s and sunshine persisting into the weekend. There is a slight chance for some afternoon thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday, but any storms that develop will be scattered in nature and very brief.
Friday night’s Football forecast looks to be a great evening for High School Football across the county, with temperatures in the low 90s, dropping down to the low 70s overnight.
The burn ban is still in effect for Hunt County, despite the rain received last week and Sunday, please continue to use caution when outdoors, and refrain from outdoor burning.
Stay tuned and stay safe!
