Hunt County United Way has a summer feeding program that partners with area churches. A dozen children were at Mount Olive Baptist Church located at 4707 Washington Street in Greenville.
The United Way organization prepares and distributes the meals. Meals that are not used on any given day will be sent to the Women in Need shelter.
Volunteers from other area churches assist with set up, serving and clean up chores. The program started on June 8th and runs Monday through Friday 11:30 until 12:30 at participating churches and other organizations. The feeding program will end on August the 21st when schools start their first day of teaching.
