The Hunt County Commissioners Court will consider Cypress Creek Renewables request to build three solar farms in Northern Hunt County.  Commissioners will discuss the proposal in Tuesday’s meeting at the auxiliary courtroom located at 2700 Johnson Street at 10 a.m.

Cypress Creek originally met with the commissioners last July.  The development corporation is seeking a tax abatement agreement for the three projects. The commissioners will discuss designating 100 acres of land, to be known as the Leon Solar Reinvestment Zone, designating 99.745 acres of land, to be known as the Sterling Solar Reinvestment Zone and 815.46 acres of land, to be known as the Leon Hallmark Reinvestment Zone per city attorney, Daniel Ray.

Cypress Creek is a national provider that has raised and invested over 2 Billion Dollars in established solar farms or has plans to establish new farms.  The Hallmark Farm will be located north of Greenville on TX Highway 34 North between FM 118.  The Leon Project will be located north of Floyd on FM 1118 near the Redeemed Christian Church of God campus.
