Charles D. Eldridge, 83 of Greenville, passed away at Park Haven Nursing Home in Greenville on August 7, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Mark Eldridge officiating. Burial will be in McWright Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Eldridge was born in Hunt County, Texas on February 29, 1932 to Will Eldridge and Lillie Jacobs. He married Helen Gregory in Oklahoma in March 27, 1981. He retired from the Hunt County Maintenance Department and was a Methodist.
He is survived by daughter Judy Higginbotham and husband, Bobby of Greenville, granddaughter, Shelby Higginbotham also of Greenville, brothers, John Eldridge of Killeen and Billy Eldridge of Wolfe City, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen Eldridge, brothers, Odell Eldridge, Cleburne Eldridge, Ray Eldridge, Willie Eldridge, and James Eldridge and sisters, Susie Watson and Irene Dunn.
Pallbearers will be Mike Eldridge, David Eldridge, Bobby Higginbotham, Randy Eldridge, Kevin Eldridge, Billy Eldridge, and Cody Eldridge.
