One could almost hear strains of Credence banging out Bad Moon Rising across Greenville’s Reservoir Number Five as Eddie Daniels and six others set up their tripods for a lunar eclipse watching party. Each and everyone took some fabulous sunset shots. Thin, hazy clouds obscured the moon for the most part until it rose high in the sky. Each in the party brought lawn chairs, insect repellent and plenty to drink during the event. Nobody was able to get that exclusive time lapse picture of the moon racing across Hunt County due to the scud rolling across the eastern sky.
Eddie Daniels is the de facto leader of the Hunt County Shutter Bugs. They meet twice a month at the library in Greenville. A technical session dealing with cameras and technique is held on the second Tuesday of the month and a photo contest is held on the third Monday of the month. Perhaps in another 18-years the new generation of Hunt County Shutter Bugs can set up as their forefathers did in 2015.
