The 22nd Annual Cotton Patch Challenge sponsored by the City of Greenville, Texas brought cyclist from North Texas, several surrounding states, and countries surrounding the United States Saturday. The challenge had six demanding but beautiful courses originating at the Hunt County Courthouse and going to Rains County and back to East Tawakoni, across the new Two-Mile Bridge to West Tawakoni, Quinlan, and finishing in Greenville. The challenge had a shorter 12-mile tour, followed by trips of 21-miles, 35-miles, 46-miles, to the granddaddy of them all…the 74-mile course.

Southwest Buick-GMC presented Carevide of Greenville with a $6,000 check that will help the organization to continue to support community health despite the recipient’s ability to pay.

The Sabine Valley Amateur Radio Club provided communications from rest stops around two counties. Other sponsors included Innovation First International, Greenville Rotary, L3, Holiday Inn Express, the Texan Theater, Friendly Insurance, Mid-South Bank, American National Bank, and Texas A&M University at Commerce.
